The cover of the new issue of Fusion in Europe features this extraordinary image from the MAST spherical tokamak in Culham. The image of these wraith-like swirls of plasma turbulence during a plasma pulse was one of a set captured with high speed cameras that have provided insights into ELM behaviour that could prove vital for future fusion experiments.

This issue also reports on progress in tritium breeding experiments, a remotely controlled training tokamak in Prague accessed by students from all over the world, a collaboration between astrophysicists and tokamak physicists, the latest successes at JET and much more.
